Alisa has a BA in Sociology and a BS in Psychology. She earned a master degree in psychology with an emphasis in counseling, as well as a master degree in public health with a concentration in health promotion/education. She is ABD (& will remain so) on her doctorate in health administration. Alisa has experience as a college administrator, university professor, and physical/health educator. Alisa has been a triathlete since 1982. She has a passion for fitness and health that is evident in every aspect of her life. She developed the Middle School Fitness programs at the Cary YMCA, engaging young teens and pre-teens in physical activities geared towards healthy lifestyles. She has coached many youth leagues, triathlon & running teams, AARP Tri-umph athletes, Varsity cross-country, Track & Field at Cary Academy . She is a triathlete, marathoner, devoted wife & mother. She is a fit intelligent role model for these rising young adults, particularly to young females.
